Woman's Hour

The time has finally arrived, it is the first day of DU, so here is a fresher’s guide to first day of college.

•    Don’t overdo the dressing up as it is a sure shot way to get ragged. High heels, make-up, shining dresses, revealing dresses are definitely no-no on the first day. Try and keep it casuals.
•    Don’t fear senior as they are just a year or two elder to you. They will be of great help if you befriend them. Don’t be too snooty or too coy.
•    Don’t fall for some hot boy/girl who goes to his knee and proposes you. As this is the most common prank in most of the co-ed colleges.
•    Try to know who the faculty members are, else you might end up mistaking some of the teacher for the college students.
•    Interact with your class mates but don’t just stuck-up. You will be together for    at least three years.
•    Convince your parents that you will be fine and don’t take them along with you to college as it label you as a mama’s boy or daddy’s girl. Also don’t call every now and then to tell them -you are fine.
•    Don’t boost about yourself in front of college crowd. Nor flaunt your knowledge about various pubs and discotheque as it will label you as a wannable.
